Forensic Pathology  
  • Performance of post mortem examinations and autopsies to determine the cause and manner of death through the examination of wounds and injuries; tissue specimens; and interpretation of toxicological analyses on bodily tissues and fluids

  • Determination of the “cause and manner of death.”  The cause of death is the medical disease, injury, or poison (alcohol, drug or toxic substance) that caused the physical death of a person. The manner of death is a description of the circumstances surrounding the death.  Examples of manner of death are: natural, accident, suicide, homicide, undetermined, and pending

  • Completion of Autopsy Reports which documenting findings of post mortem examinations and autopsies

  • Provision of expert testimony in court regarding autopsy findings
